How I Went From 0 to 252,082 Followers In 1 Year.

852 words = 6 minute read

Hey Reader,

So, if you don't know, I began my content creation journey on January 14th, 2023.

Now, a year later, I can say that my life has completely changed.

I embarked on this journey while pursuing two bachelor's degrees, which meant I had almost no time left... But still, I went for it.

Many of you can probably relate, as you are either in school, university, or working a day job and feel like you simply don't have enough time to devote to something like this.

The majority of people I see starting on social media eventually quit for this one reason: They see no results for the amount of time and effort they put in.

That's why sustainability is the single most important aspect of your creator journey.

Without it, everything crumbles.

And that's what I'm going to teach you how to fix today - how to achieve more results using less effort.

To do this, I will use the two techniques that have had the most impact in this regard: batch working and optimising your feed.

Batch Working

This technique will significantly increase your output.

Consider this hypothetical scenario with me: you need to post four videos this week.

Recording each video takes 20 minutes, setting up the material takes 10 minutes, and disassembling it takes another 10 minutes. In total, each video takes 40 minutes to record.

Therefore, 4 times 40 equals 2 hours and 40 minutes. If you're recording each video on a different day, that's the total amount of time you'll spend.

However, there's a smarter way to do it. Record all those videos in a row.

By doing this, you only have to set up and disassemble the material once. This way, instead of taking 2 hours and 40 minutes, you only spend 1 hour and 40 minutes—you save an entire hour!

This method is essential.

For instance, I edit all my videos for the week on Sunday!

Doing so frees me from worrying about them throughout the week, saves a significant amount of time, and allows me to focus on other things, like university in my case.

Feed Optimisation

If I had to think of a different idea for a video to post every single day... I would go nuts.

Especially with all of the other stuff I already have to do in my life.

So, I need a source of inspiration - and a good one.

And what best source other than your own feed, which literally is made to show you the best content out there.

The problem is that most of your feeds aren't optimised because you scroll mindlessly and liking everything without any prior thought or concern.

You can do that on a random account or on your personal one - but not on the one you are trying to grow.

On this one you have to only like and watch videos that are directly related to your niche and content.

This way, whenever you need inspiration, you can simply go on your "for you" tab and gather a bunch of great content.

To give you an idea: it takes me about 30 minutes to get 2 weeks worth of content inspiration.

And that's how I've been able to get so much done in this past year.

Key Takeaway From Manifest.

The most valuable insight I gained from 'Manifest' by Roxie Nafousi was the realization that manifestation isn't only a spiritual concept.

Before reading the book, I held the prejudiced notion that manifestation involved "thinking really hard" about something and expecting it to come true, a concept I thought was absolute bullish*t.

However, the book was an eye-opener, revealing another side of manifestation I had never known about.

It's not about just wishing for something "really hard"; it's about firmly believing in it and aligning your entire being with that belief.

This means ensuring that all your actions are consistent with how someone would behave to achieve a specific goal or outcome.

'Manifest' is a fascinating read, and I definitely recommend it.
